摘要
The collection and cleaning of the primary and secondary emissions of arc furnaces causes considerable operating cost. The energy consumption can be lowered by reducing the fume volume streams by modifications of the collecting and dedusting system. Thus, for instance, by enclosing the furnace the power consumption can be reduced for single furnace operation from 34 to about 15 kWh/t of crude steel.
