THE Korf Oxy-Refining Fuel System consists of oxy-fuel burners designed to operate below the level of a metal bath. Because of their location, the burners speed up the oxidation reactions and improve heat transfer and bath efficiencies. They result in energy economies and increased productivity during melting and refining. The burner is currently used in open hearth furnaces. However, it may also be used in other steel-making furnaces, foundry furnaces, or nonferrous melting and refining applications.
