摘要
The goal of the investigation was to study the possibility of treatment and tertiary treatment of waste water with lime and ozone. Coagulation with lime decreases the content of dissolved substances in the water, which precipitate in the form of insoluble salts and hydroxides of calcium and magnesium. Liming increases the degree of biochemical decomposition in subsequent biological treatment and improves the hygienic properties of the water. Use of ozone at the stage of tertiary treatment of biologically treated waste water permits one to eliminate the residual color and to bring the COD and BOD down to the required norms.
