摘要
A theoretical study is made of the problem of determining the shape of axisymmetric cavities in an unbounded steady flow. The study is carried out with the aid of a passage to the limit in the boundary layer equations in which the surface of the cavitator and the cavity is considered as the surface of a slender body. The solution to the problem is eventually reduced to the solution of an integro-differential equation for the cavity shape. A simple model of the flow near the surface of slender axisymmetric bodies and cavitites is developed.
