摘要：
This paper explores some of the developments in the field of fully automatic welding, and looks to its contribution in streamlining production. The author lists a number of other automatic processes which have become a part of standard mass production methods. The adaptability and advantages of automatic, the most used processes, namely resistance and MIG welding encompassed by numerical control, together with robots, are referred to. Electron beam as a mass production tool is considered.
