Coil-globule transition in star-like macromolecules

摘要
The conformation was examined in isolated star-like macromolecules in a poor solvent. Asymptotic exponential dependences were derived of equilibrium characteristics of star-like macromolecules (dimensions, density profile of units, conformation free energy). Complete phase diagram was plotted in coordinates of temperature-number of branches. The coil-globule conformation transition was examined in an isolated star-like macromolecule. A formula was derived for the potential of interaction and the second virial coefficient of star-like macromolecules in dilute solution. Experimental data were analysed using the theory formulated.
