摘要
CARBON STEEL AND STAINLESS STEEL WIRES WERE DRAWN UNDER HYDRODYNAMICALLY LUBRICATED CONDITIONS BY USING AN INLET TUBE. THE DRAWING FORCE IS REDUCED AT HIGHER DRAWING SPEED BECAUSEOF THE HIGH PRESSURE GENERATED IN THE INLET TUBE. THE SMOOTHNESS RATIO OF THE DRAWN WIRE SURFACE BECOMES SMALLER WITH THE INCREASE OF OIL PRESSURE BECAUSE HYDRODYNAMIC LUBRICATIONHAS A MORE PREDOMINANT EFFECT ON THE FRICTION FACE BETWEEN DIE AND WIRE. THE TEMPERATURE RISES OF DIE AND WIRE ARE SUPPRESSED BY THE REDUCED FRICTION AT HIGHER OIL PRESSURE. DIE LIFE INCREASES IN LINEAR PROPORTION TO THE DECREASE IN SMOOTHNESS RATIO.
