摘要：
The integrated steelworks at Taranto has five sintering strands. The objectives over the last five years have been to lower heat consumption and improve sinter quality. Attention is now focused on measures to assure the optimum permeability of the bed by measuring the flow of air in correspondence to a windbox located before the ignition furnace. A control model is used by a process computer connected to the sintering plant.
