Preheater Feeding with Airlift & Microprocessor-Controlled Measuring System.

A feeding system for preheaters (WAMS) is decribed in which the pressure difference in the Airlift vertical pneumatic conveyor is used as the reference variable for the throughput. The equipment is coupled with a weigh-hopper. By means of appropriate calibrations, during operation, the measured values are determined and are stored in the computer. They are processed in a function which represents the relationship between pressure difference and throughput over the whole operating range.
