Flow sheet for producing the bilayer corrosion-resistant steel sheets (09G2S+08Kh13) is considered by using the method of vertical electroslag surfacing. The regimes of electroslag surfacing and the quality parameters, corresponding to these regimes, are given. It is ascertained that the slag pool resistivity and the consumable electrode voltage are the main surfacing parameters which influence chromium content in the cladding layer and fusion depth of basic layer. The character of this influence depends upon heating degree of ingot being surfaced.
