摘要
A theory based on the ″bond-slip″ mechanism is proposed to calcualte the quantity of reinforcement required to satisfactorily distribute thermal and shrinkage cracking. A study of published experimental results and field measurements, as well as the results of a laboratory test program, ahve confirmed that this theory is a reasonable description of observed cracking behavior. A survey of the provisions of current design codes has shown that the quantity of shrinkage and temperature reinforcement currently specified is totally inadequate for the range of thermal and shrinkable strains normally experienced in Australia. A method of calculating the required quantity of reinforcement has been recommended, expresssed in a format suitable for inclusion in a design code.
