The reaction of titanium enamels and coatings with boiling dilute citric acid solutions can be described equations similar to the Freundlich-Baedeker adsorption dependences. During the reaction of the coatings with solutions in the pH range from 3. 30 to 3. 65 a large quantity of SiO//2 is dissolved. TiO//2 passes into the solution to a large extent from the glassy phase than from the crystalline one. The overall corrosion losses and the dissolution of individual components are the result of a physicochemical reaction and mechanical destruction.
