摘要
Over the last few years MTU Motoren- und Turbinen-Union Friedrichshafen GmbH has developed new techniques for increasing the mean effective pressure in highly-turbocharged diesel engines, such as cylinder cutout, cylinder charge transfer and sequential turbocharging. These techniques employ simple components, common to engine construction, which have been modified to comply with the requirements of their specific applications. Their functional reliability has been proven by extensive testing in quantity-production engines.
