摘要
Nonlinear density functional results for the stopping power and straggling of ions moving slowly upsilon VM LS TH upsilon //f) in an electron gas are presented. A self-energy formalism is used to estimate the charge state of a proton moving at intermediate velocities in an electron gas. The contribution of the surface to the energy loss of slow ions is also analyzed, within the specular reflection model.
