A Cu-infiltrated Fe-2 vol% Al//2O//3 compact surpassed a Cu-infiltrated Fe compact in flow stress due to dispersion strengthening of the Cu phase by Al//2O//3 dispersoids. However, flow stresses of the Cu-infiltrated Fe-4 vol% and Fe-6 vol%Al//2O//3 compacts having non-uniform distribution of Al//2O//3 were lower.
