Three groups of hyrdrocarbon deposits in the Fergana depression are singled out: hydraulically screened oil pools, lithologically and hydrodynamically screened pools, and pools sealed by infiltrational hydrodynamic barriers and bitumens. The areas where brines of elisional origin are in contact with fresh and weakly salty infiltrational waters are promising for oil and gas exploration.
