摘要
This study deals with a numerical solution of convective heat transfer in an inclined rectangular cavity with a heated bottom surface in forced laminar flow. Flow patterns and temperature profiles in the cavity and local and average heat transfer coefficients on the bottom heating surface were calculated by an Up-Wind finite difference method for various Reynolds numbers Re//H, Grashof numbers Gr//W and inclination angles theta . The results indicate that the inclination angle has an important role in determining the heat transfer and flow pattern in the inclined cavity. It is also seen that the Nusselt number does not increase monotonically with increasing Re//H at Gr//W equals 2 multiplied by 10**3 at low values of Re//H.
