摘要
The paper deals with the hull form design and model experiments of a 5000 dwt multi-purpose cargo ship. The EHP, DHP and wake pattern of a properly designed bulbous stern form is compared with that of a conventional form. The model experiments confirm that the bulbous stern gives better propulsive performance as well as more homogeneous wake field. The effect of sternframe sole piece is also given in the paper.
