The traffic theory is concerned with the flow of events which occur only with certain probability and which cause the demand of some equipments. For the determination of congestion, probability distributions, and the traffic values derivable therefrom, a model has been developed which is completely evaluable. The model is composed of a combination of two service systems, each of them containing up to several hundred waiting and service positions, and it can reproduce numerous traffic situations such as feedback waiting-and-loss events, overflow sequences, repeated call attempts.
