A study was made of the phase equilibrium in the tetraethoxysilane-hexaethoxydisiloxane system at atmospheric pressure and in a vacuum in a temperature range which precludes the formation of polymeric compounds. It is shown that in the range of real concentrations of hexaethoxydisiloxane in tetraethoxysilane the separation coefficient calculated from the equilibrium curve at both atmospheric pressure and in a vacuum is much greater than 1 (of the order of 8 to 9), which indicates that this mixture can be separated by distillation, regardless of the pressure.
