摘要
In this literature-based review paper, a definition and brief description of the evaluation of heat resistances of rubber and rubber products are followed by a survey of manufacture, chemical structure, basic properties, compounding, vulcanization and applications of commercially available synthetic rubbers. The polymers and copolymers considered are - chlorosulfonated PE; chlorinated PE; epichlorohydrin elastomers; polyacrylic elastomers; ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers; ethylene-acrylic elastomers; silicone rubbers (including RTV silicones); polyfluorosilicones; fluorocarbons; elastomer blends; developmental elastomers (phosphonitrile fluoroelastomers); nitroso and carboxy nitroso rubbers, carborane-siloxane copolymers, perfluorinated triazine polymers).
