An overview of an observation and analysis system for DIS

In this article, we describe an observation and analysis system for Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), which consists of modules, functions and characteristics, system structure, and some key technologies. The system implements data log and data statistic, observation and analysis of simulation exercise, generation and publishing of report, functions of recording data in the whole simulation procedure. It can also check entities, replay process, display exercise data visually, generate statistic record automatically, exercise result and evaluation report, provide a powerful computer aided tool for development and debugging of DIS. Finally a demonstration application in DIS is given.
