摘要
The problem of the redistribution of hydrogen in heterogeneous welded joints has been solved taking into account the nonstationary temperature field, phase transformations, desorption from the surface, and the transfer of hydrogen into a 'trap'. A quantitative relationship between preheat temperature and the maximum content of excess hydrogen at 20 degree C, which determines brittleness of the steel, has been established. A nomogram has been derived for a preliminary evaluation of the preheat temperature at which no cold cracking takes place in ferritic-pearlitic weld metals.
