摘要
The development and application of a novel fiber optic based signal processing system (FOSPAN) is described. It is based upon recirculating delay line techniques and offers advantages over conventional digital systems. The FOSPAN processor is essentially a narrowband rf spectrum analyzer, operating on bandwidths of the order of 500 kHz. Its foremost advantage is a considerable increase in available processing power.
