摘要
This article deals with an offshore production plant, CONAPT (Concrete Articulated Production Tower), which has been introduced jointly by a series of German companies for working marginal oil fields, and for use as a support system for various purposes. Compared with the conventional techniques previously employed for offshore structures, CONAPT is expected to prove more economical, and could also operate anywhere in the most extreme North Sea conditions.
