摘要
New mining techniques are demanding the development of belt conveyors to meet the following requirements: Longer conveyors to reduce the number of transfer points and the hazards associated with transfer points; high horse power conveyors for coal clearance projects; Extensible conveyors to ensure continuous coal clearance from tunneling machines, and rapidly advancing or retreating coal faces; and inspection and maintenance to ensure continuous production. This paper discusses conveyor developments in these categories.
