EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF FLUCTUATIONS IN A TRANSISTOR SELF-EXCITED OSCILLATOR EMPLOYING VARICAPS.

Varicap-tuned self-excited oscillators are employed in many devices and systems. The level of oscillation phase fluctuation is an important performance criterion of such oscillators when they are used in communications systems and in high-quality measuring equipment. The increase in the technical requirements imposed on this performance criterion makes it necessary to investigate the cause of the fluctuations and to find ways of minimizing them. The paper presents the results of experimental investigations studying the reasons for the increase in these fluctuations.
