摘要
Cutting fluids with a basis of polymers soluble in water are being used for metal machining. This article gives the results of tests, when cutting steel, on a cutting fluid based on the polymer PK-2 (polyacrylic acid with a content of iron). This is a polymer soluble in water neutralized by sodium hydroxide. The effect of the molecular mass of the polymer under investigation on the durability of the tool was examined to determine the most efficient composition for a cutting fluid with a polymer content. The industrial tests on this new polymer cutting fluid were performed during the operations of annular drilling, milling and spline milling.
