Approach to Solution of the Problem of Temperature-Time Prediction of Long-Time Strength Characteristics.

A calculation method is suggested permitting regions of the action for common failure mechanisms to be determined from the long-term strength curve plotted in the semilogarithmic system of sigma -lg tau coordinates. Application of the above method allows increasing accuracy when solving problems on temperature-time prediction. Results are presented on extrapolation of the long-term strength characteristics for metallic materials of different classes on great time bases (50-100 thousand h).
