摘要
This volume compiles, in annotated directory form, a brief account of the varied bio-energy activities whose general goal is the utilization of solar energy to produce fuel via biomass production Each page of the directory describes research programs either already completed or still in progress. The prefects are categorical in the following groups - (1) biomass production (silviculture & forest residues, agriculture & farm residues, aquaculture); and equipment (2) microbiological conversion (anaerobic digestion, fermentation systems, microbial alternatives); (3) thermal conversion (complete combustion, fuels & feedstocks,alternative studies); (4) other studies (chemical, systems and resources, biophotolysis, nitrogen fixation). Each group includes a section covering projects related to equipment and its operation. Index of performing organizations is enclosed.
