摘要
After an introduction in which papers are reviewed which deal with the general aspects of melting in foundries, those dealing with specific furnace types are discussed; viz, electric arc furnaces, channel type induction furnaces, and coreless induction furnaces. Experience with reconstruction and new installations, economics, special melting processes, and refractories for melting furnaces are also covered.
