摘要
Emissions of methane were quantified in the exhaust gases of gasoline or natural gas fueled engines using spark ignition. The study was carried out using an engine test bench with aspirated samples in vacuum, at 1500 and at 2500 rpm. The test with compressed natural gas was carried out on three different conversion equipment in order to analyze the effect of each kit on emission reduction. The results of this testing suggested that, independently of the conversion kit studied, there always existed a decrease in methane emissions when using natural gas as compared with the use of gasoline as fuel.
