EPR study of phosphate glasses containing two types of transitional metal ions

摘要
The local structure interactions between transition metal ions in phosphate glasses were determined. The x(CuO&middotV2O5)(100-x)[2P2O5&middotPbO] and x&middot(MnO&middotV2O5)(100-x)[2P2O5&middotNa2] with 0&lex&le40 mol% glass systems were prepared and investigated using electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. Results indicate an octahedral-tetrahedral distorted local symmetry for Cu2+ and Mn2+ ions, and a square-pyramidal coordination for V4+ ions.
