摘要
The role of glassmakers in reinstalling environmental Management Systems (EMS) for better environmental performance is discussed. The REMAS project hopes to show policy makers, industrialists and environmentalists the extent to which the industry is successfully greening its act. A research hopes to identify which voluntary compliance measures most effectively protect the environment, and also to identify the most significant element of EMS to implement, helping businesses to invest more effectively. The REMAS project will identify gaps in a company's current EMS and help them make an informed choice on whether improvements are actually required.
