Gamma- radiation damage of organic scintillation materials

The air of the current work was to investigate the relationship between U- dose and radiation damage as measured by the percentage apparent energy change of a !- spectrum. The radiation damage was also measured by investigating the change in light absorption and the change in the counting efficiency of the scintillator. A sample of plastic scintillator was irradiated for a total of 2. 35x10//6 rad, the sample removed periodically, a !- spectrum obtained and its light transmission measured.
