摘要
The dual-excited synchronous generator is a kind of synchronous machine whose rotor is equipped with two exciting windings in different directions. The resultant field flux can be controlled arbitrarily by controlling the exciting currents of the two exciting windings. This machine has been discussed so far in connection with power system stability. There are many kinds of dual-excited generators. The authors intend to use the dual-excited generator for medium and small sized hydroplants. ASS operation would make it possible to realize a generator without speed governor. Validity of the theoretical analysis is confirmed by comparison with an experimental test result. A vector control method of exciting voltage is also proposed to improve the steady-state ASS operating characteristics of the dual-excited generator.
