Data Bank on Mechanical and Physical Properties of Materials.

An automatic information-retrieval and processing system is described for mechanical-and-physical properties of materials. It is shown how to efficiently load the base with new information. The main elements of software and hardware are given for the automatic complex. An information model of data is elaborated with regard for all significant factors which can influence the numerical values of mechanical properties. Principles of dialogue retrieval organization and data processing are considered in detail using visual display. Formats of output data are given. It is demonstrated how to purposefully and creatively process information in the researcher-computer system.
