摘要：
In operating an ethylene plant, knowing the principal variables involved in the formation of carbon oxides permits a proportioning of the optimal quantity of hydrogen sulfide to reduce their detrimental effects. A reduction in the coke formation rate results in energy savings and an extension in the life of the reactor tubes. The higher ethylene selectivity increases overall plant efficiency.
