Wave propagation in media with periodic structure including media with piezoelectric properties is explained by the uniqueness of the wave properties and structural possibilities of the materials in such a structure. Dispersion equations are constructed and investigated in this paper for the bulk shear waves in a piezoelectric medium whose properties vary periodically in one spatial coordinate.
