Some Results and Promising Lines of Research in Oil and Gas Production.

Problems of development of oil and gas production mechanics, in particular mechanics of non-Newtonian systems, have been studied in the USSR recently. In addition to viscoelastic systems that embrace petroleum types containing resinous-asphaltenous substances and paraffins, the so-called relaxing petroleum types have been investigated. Models and modeling representations of the filtration of gas and gas condensate systems have been set up. Prediction methods using probabilistic statistical methods have been highly successful.
