摘要
The Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) estimates that the use of adequate lockout procedures during equipment maintenance could save 122 lives and prevent 28,400 lost workday injuries in the U. S. each year. Among the responsibilities of an equipment user is to make sure everyone involved does what is necessary to prevent accidents. Based on interviews with materials handling practitioners, safety professionals, and equipment manufacturers, this article provides a general outline for developing and monitoring a conveyor safety program.
