摘要
During the 1986 construction season the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) installed a cathodic protection (CP) system on a highway bridge deck using a titanium wire mesh as the anode. The titanium anode was developed the previous year by Eltech Systems Corporation, Chardon, Ohio. The ELGARD 210 titanium anode was specified as an experimental feature on a FHWA-funded bridge deck repair and highway resurfacing project. The approved work plan commits ODOT to a three-year evaluation of the anode. This paper presents design, cost, and construction observations in addition to the initial corrosion monitoring data.
