Results are presented of experimental investigations into the influence of the clearances in crankpin bearings of a compressor on the thickness of the lubrication layer. Experiments were carried out on crankpin bearings of a PK-35 piston compressor made by the Pervomayskiy Brake Plant and the measurements of the oil film were made by the capacity method by means of a loop oscillograph.
