摘要
A new bridge spanning Chesapeake Bay in Maryland is built by a joint venture. The substructure project embraces five separate contracts and the work consists of three basic support systems- precast, prestressed, construction for the approaches, anchor piers for the suspension span, and Potomac- type piers for the balance of the structure.
