摘要：
A dynamic model for scheduling manufacturing processes is presented in the context of a large scale optimal control problem. The model minimizes the total cost of in-process and finished goods inventories. An algorithmic method for solution of the model has been based on an approach due to Tamura which is also amenable to subsystem decomposition and implementation using parallel computers.
