Recent technological advancements in passenger information systems (PIS) provide a better travel experience for the rail travellers. Train running information calls for robust, reliable, low-maintenance and vandal-proof equipment to meet the highest standards of safety. Display screens and voice announcements are central to PIS. A central control system interfaced with timetables, train control equipment and track circuiting provides real-time updates. Remote diagnostic facilities allow the monitoring and disconnection of malfunctioning equipment.
