Studying control and applications via on-line resources

Tremendous growth of the internet and on-line resources now permits individuals to perform significant control and applications research on-line at remote laboratories and locations. The user can access these resources twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, at no cost except maintaining a network connection. This paper discusses four applications utilizing existing Web resources. These applications fall into general categories based on the type of user interaction as well as their utility to perform the kinds of control and applications research identified in a March, 2000 survey.
