摘要
The question of how to save energy or to recover energy from metallurgical furnaces is increasingly gaining importance. The article discusses the possibilities for recovering energy from waste gas and cooling water of arc furnaces. According to the present state of the art possibilities for recovering energy from cooling water are mainly found in arc furnaces as used in the production of steel. In the case of the electric arc reduction furnace used mainly for the production of ferro-alloys and pig iron, energy can best be recovered from the waste gas or process gas.
