摘要
The authors present information regarding the influence of the ferrite content in austenitic stainless steel W 1. 4550 and W 1. 4571 on their behaviour to corrosion in watery solutions of aliphatic dicarboxylic acids. Following tests performed by gravimetric and potentiodynamic methods, results show that the corrosion rate increases depending on the increase of the ferrite content. The density of the passivation current is lower and the passivation area greater for lower ferrite content steel than for high ferrite content steel.
