By solid phase synthesis, the authors obtained the prescribed composition material Y//1//. //2Ba//0//. //8CuO//4. They attempted to separate the 'black' and the 'green' phases formed by the synthesis of the ceramics of the said composition. The temperature dependences of the electric resistivity, the Hall effect and the magnetic susceptibility were measured. The phase responsible for the superconducting state is contained in the 'black' fraction of the material.
